Benton
Electric
Inc., an Oregon
corporation, was established in September of 1967,
and purchased by its present officers, Gerald and Miriam Sheffield, in April of 1976.
Gerald “Jerry” Sheffield has acted as
President and General Manager since that time. Miriam “Janet”
Sheffield began working for the company in 1989 and currently holds
the office of Secretary-Treasurer. Their daughter Nancy has been
the Office Manager since 1980. Neil, their son, employed since
1981 is a Supervising Journeyman Electrician, and a graduate of
Oregon
State
University. Jerry’s nephew, Travis Sheffield
, is a graduate of Oregon
State
University
as well, and has been a Project Coordinator and Senior Estimator since
1989.
At
Benton Electric there is a real sense of pride and responsibility that
creates a positive working environment. Among all of the electrical
capabilities provided by the company, there is also a Low Voltage
Division, offering a complete line of Limited Energy Systems. Mark
Boster, our head low voltage technician is NICET Certified to design and
install fire alarm systems, as well as communications, nurse call,
paging, and many other low voltage systems.
Benton
Electric is located between
Albany
and
Corvallis
on Highway 34 in a 4,200 square foot office and warehouse facility.
The building is owned by the
Sheffield
’s and leased to Benton Electric. The facility was constructed in
1979-80. We at Benton Electric provide customers with affordable
solutions and quality installations for all of their electrical needs.

of safety to our employees and provide them with the training and

Quarterly safety meetings are held in our offices, and weekly meetings
are held on individual job sites. Our worker’s well-being is central
